I did it.
FINALLY. I finally walked without any sort of assistance aiding me in walking to my appointment at the fitness center in the courage center today. The transportation driver came up to my apartment and I asked him for his hand (which he gave to me) and I walked out to his van, got in it, he brought me to the courage center and now I'm here. I walked into the courage center and to the fitness center without falling or even coming close to falling. I asked the driver how much assistance he needed to give me while he was giving me his hand and I asked him if I put any strain on his hand while I was holding it, he laughed and said,"HA.. No. You should tell the lady in charge of making out the transportation schedule that this is part of your therapy and you need to start doing this." So much I think I'm going to have my independent living services worker call my medical transportation company and tell them that I need to start walking with just a driver's hand for assistance just in case I fall or something.
